Engineering Excellence: The Award-Winning Enclosure of MV Last Call
Honored to see our sundeck enclosure for Last Call recognized with the 2025 ATA International Achievement Award and ATA Best of Canada. This project transformed a complex vision into a seamless, multi-season reality for the 40.2-meter Intermarine 120 during its Vancouver refit.

The Vision: Alaska to Mexico Adaptability
MV Last Call arrived in Vancouver for an extensive refit with a specific challenge: the yacht’s charter company required an enclosure that could handle various climates without requiring the crew to remove or store bulky panels. We developed a three-sided sliding system that allows for effortless transitions between open-air and protected configurations.
Solving Complex Hardware Challenges
Custom CNC-Cut Mounting Systems
Because the yacht’s polished stainless railing featured smoked acrylic panels, conventional fasteners were impossible. We designed custom 316 stainless steel brackets, CNC-machined to align with existing mounting tabs. Our technical approach ensured the final result looked like an original factory specification.
Human-Centric Ergonomics
From a guest heading to the jacuzzi with a cocktail to the crew requiring full-width service access, every movement was considered. We designed a "hockey-stick" zippered path for single-handed operation and a parallel second rail for unobstructed passage.
A New Benchmark in Custom Yacht Engineering
With nearly 80 linear feet of refined craftsmanship, this project reinforces our capability to design sophisticated hardware and enclosure systems for shipyards and yacht captains worldwide. It demonstrates how engineering principles can transform a captain's vision into a seamless reality.
