Materials
STAINLESS STEEL TUBING & FITTINGS
Frames are created from 600 grit polished stainless steel marine tubing of 1-inch diameter x 0.065 inch wall minimum. Formed tubes are connected with two-screw heavy duty stainless steel fittings.
Reliable and secure frame connections are assured by replacing one of the fitting set-screws with a stainless steel pop-rivet.
SUNBRELLA®
This product is the canvas standard in the marine and awning industry. The fabric is a solution dyed acrylic that is breathable, water-repellent and treated to resist mildew and colour fade from UV.
On applications where waterproof canvas is preferred, a variant called Sunbrella SeaMark® may be used. SeaMark fabric is also a solution dyed acrylic but has a PVC backing. SeaMark is waterproof and non-breathable.
STAMOID®
This product is a premium vinyl fabric that is waterproof with exceptional UV and mold resistance characteristics. Stamoid is very durable, tough, and easy to maintain which make it the ideal choice for tops and enclosure panels that are white or very light in colour.
SOLARFIX®
SolarFix® PTFE thread does not have any significant loss in strength UV or chemical exposure. Performance comparisons to conventional thread after 5 years UV exposure show that polyester, nylon and cotton products may experience greater than 70% loss in strength when compared to PTFE thread.
O’SEA™
Is a premium pressed polished clear vinyl sheet window material with exceptional optical clarity and durability. It is manufactured for maximum UV stability and coated to provide a scratch barrier and chemical resistance to sun tan lotion, insect repellant, and jet fuel vapour. This marine grade clear vinyl is our preferred window material for enclosures and dodgers.
STRATAGLASS™
This product is also a premium clear sheet plastic with stronger resistance to scratching, chemicals, and UV. The coating on this clear vinyl sheet is resistant to scratching from roll up straps and zipper teeth.
